  • Help! Absolutely struggling through this!!!

    Hello all!
First off let me say I am a new poster, but have been reading the forum for some time. You all are so inspirational!! I am struggling through the induction phase!! I have been on it for one week now with no weight loss! What can I be doing wrong? I also still have horrible cravings and feel like I am completely deprived of food!! Help! I need to loose 25-30lbs and I feel like it is attainable, but I need some help and suggestions!! Thanks everyone!!

    Hi and welcome.

    I have a couple questions/suggestions for you...

    1. Did you measure yourself and weigh yourself when you began? Dr. Atkins recommended we do both because scale weight is not a reliable indicator of fat loss.

    2. Post your menues in the "REview My Menu" forum of this board. Sometimes people aren't eating the proper foods.

Bellasmom, can you assist by letting us see an example of a typical day's eating and drinking, so if something's not right we may be able to spot it?

Include everything, including type/brand if applicable, what is prepared with (ie, fried vs boiled, and any added ingredients) plus the quantities.

Note - you should be using the instructions for induction in the 2002 edition of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, and making the most of what is allowed if you are hungry.

        Hi Bellasmom
One beauty about Atkins to me is that you dont need to stay hungry!!

If you feel deprived it may be you are not eating enough of the food we are allowed.

If you feel deprived because of the kind of foods you are not allowed at present why not post a request in the 'Recipe Requests' forum asking for help in working out a substitute for your favourite forbidden recipe?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!
