Okay earlier today I wanted a cracker soooo bad! So I had a little bacon instead and that fixed my salt craving but right now im DESPERATE for a ginormous piece of chocolate. Preferably a white chocolate nestles crunch bar! I even ate dinner, and i'm still craving this.. I'm reaaaaaalllly down over this! I can feel the water weight coming off and I can see my thighs slimming but sheesh, even thinking about being my goal weight of 120 pounds can't help me from wanting some. We have no chocolate in this house.... so I should be safe.. i hope :/

Re: Day 3, i need chocolate!!!!
Hang in there! you can do it.
It's kind of normal to crave something like that in induction - your body is detoxing from sugar and your mind is playing along with it, trying to trick you!
I remember it well - the first few days I went to bed early (craving sugar) to stop myself from going to the kitchen and also to let my body rest from the withdrawals.
Keep up the good work, you can do it

Re: Day 3, i need chocolate!!!!
Maybe you shoud head for a good fattening snack instead. Try some deviled eggs or a couple of pieces of cheese or chicken salad. Sometimes a little hunger can cause cravings. You need to find something that beats your cravings, because unless you're very lucky you will experience them at other days along the way. A nice fattening snack has always worked for me. I know some others believe that Induction-friendly sweets work well for them, but I never wanted to go down that pathway. Maybe exercise or focusing on doing something else will take your mind off it. Just a few suggestions...hope you find one that helps. Stick with it - don't give in - be strong!~Attek

Re: Day 3, i need chocolate!!!!

Well, i've gotta say it I gave in. It wasnt chocolate, it was the no flour version of the peanut butter cookies. It wasnt just one cookie either! I can't believe I messed up, i'm absolutely dissapointed in myself, I am mad at myself, I feel fat, bloated and just plain out awful. I hope I can forget this tomorrow and do a clean induction the rest of the time.HW / 220

Re: Day 3, i need chocolate!!!!
oh italiangirl, those peanut butter cookies are demon spawn. The ones with peanut butter, egg, and splenda, right? I thought I had tackled that demon until New Year's Eve, when I had a drink and got the munchies and made up that cookie dough. But then I got lazy and didn't want to bake the cookies, so I ended up eating all of the dough, right there on the couch. Luckily I make a modified recipe with only a portion of the splenda and about half the peanut butter...but oh boy, stay away from the peanut butter cookies, STAY AWAY!
Go forward with day four tomorrow, and ignore that peanut butter until you get to rung 3!START 8/16/06 @ 270+~MG1: 220-12/2/06~MG2: 210-1/07~MG3: 199-3/2/07~MG4: 190-4/27/07~MG5: 180-7/04/07~GOAL: 170

Re: Day 3, i need chocolate!!!!
Some people swear by the creamcheese mixed with a little baking chocolate and splenda for PMSing, why not give that a try next time you want a legal chocolate treat.
