HI All,
This is my first post, I'm a newbie to the boards but not to Atkins. Anyhoo, as my title suggests, I've been really good about my intake, following the induction phase, and have seen no weight change at all, but I feel a difference in the way I fit clothes....here are some of my questions:
1. Could all my working out, and muscle building be leveling out my fat-loss?
2. Is it possible that because I don't have much to lose my bocy is clinging on to the weight?
3. Is it just that much harder the 3rd time around?
Here's a little background:
I'm F 5'7" and 34 y.o. Throughout my adult life, my weight has fallen between 127-134lbs, and my bones are medium in size, so I was relatively thin in an athletic way. Then came baby #1 ( I gained 55lbs!!), and I used Atkins after I stopped nursing to get back to my fighting weight of 128. I got pregnant a year later, and I gained 60lbs with baby #2. Again I used Atkins, and got down to about 130 lbs fairly quickly.....
Now my last baby is 2.5 years old, and the lbs are creeping up again. In the past 6 months, I've been swamped at work and at home, so I haven't been working out, and I pretty much ate what my toddlers ate, so now I'm at 140lbs. No big deal right? HOWEVER, I had an aunt who I haven't see for a while ask if I was pregnant again because my pooch was so HUGE. So I decided about 9 days ago to get back on the wagon and start Atkins again to lose 10 vanity pounds by April (family wedding...alll relatives will be there yada yada). So I'm on my 9th day, I'm walking 3 miles a day, and doing 20-30 minutes of pilates every night. All my clothes feel looser, and I haven't shed a pound! It's totally making me depressed, and unmotivated because of no budging of the scale. Previous tries at Atkins all started at about 5-6lbs weightloss in the first week of induction, and another 3-4lbs for a total of almost 10lbs in during induction. I feel like a total failure this time. Tell me I'm not alone!
