  • Hi guys I NEED HELP!

    Hi everyone! I', totally new to this Atkin's Diet. I read the new revolution book the whole way through and I am still confused on a couple things for example:

    1. When I read the back of the salad dressing bottles it says 2g carbs 2g sugar can I eat that?
    2. Or if it says 2g carbs less than 1g sugar can I eat that?
    3. What salad dressings can I have when it says oil and vinegar...what kind of oil and what kind of vinegar...I can't have balsamic right?
    4. The diet says LESS than 20g carbs a day so does that mean if I eat like 1g of walnuts and its 2 carbs that is now 18left for that day? Can I even eat those on induction because the book confused me there with saying eat whatever only 20g a day of carbs then says no nuts but has it in the back of the gram counter!! Aghhhh! HELP ME!
    5. I'm sick of eggs I need BREAKFAST!!!!!


    I have been reading this bulletin for about 2 days straight when I can't sleep I get up and read it. I think you guys are AMAZING at this whole thing and I really need help!

    Hello and Welcome!

    It can be confusing, but once you have the basics down you'll be set.

    1)I believe it should be 2 grams or less per serving of sugars. Personally, I would try to find one with less because even if it is 2.49 g of carbs they can legally label it as just 2 grams.

    2)This sounds like a better choice to me.

    3)I use red wine vinegar and extra virgin olive oil....YUM!

    4)It is 20 grams or less of the items listed on the iduction list. Only that list and nothing else during induction. The walnuts are for the Nut rung once you reach OWL. The carb counter in the back of the book is a reference and pertains to the whole Atkins WOE and not just induction.

    5) Try the mock danish, leftovers or anything else you like. Check out the recipe section of ADBB Or Linda's Low Carb site for great recipes. Once you start moving up the rungs, you will have many more options. Remember, induction only has to last 14 days!

        Hi Welcome to ADBB!!
        Breakfast doesnt have to be eggs unless you want to eat them

        In fact in 3 1/2 years of Atkineering I dont think I have had eggs once!

        There have been several threads here giving ideas for breakfast menus - I just did a title search on the word 'breakfast' and found these threads you might like to read for inspiration
