  • First day of my Atkins Journey

    Hello everybody.

I really admire you all who have stuck to the diet and lost the

    unwanted fat and weight.

Now i'm not knew to the atkins diet I just loss my motivation, so what I would like to do is gather as much postive reinforcement for my journey. Today is the first day of my clean induction, and so far so good. It is a must that I succeed this time around. Six years ago I had an opportunity to do something that I thought was very exciting due to time restraints (Marine Corps) I just could not pursue it the way I wanted too, but in order for me to pursue it know I have to lose at least 25-30 pounds, preferably 30.

    MY current wt is 195

    My Goal wt is 165
    Height-5'8
    Sex- M
    Goal Weight-165

Re: First day of my Atkins Journey

well I'd like to be the first and say "Welcome back".. glad to see you are starting off the right way. Since you said you are not new to Atkins, I assume somewhere along your low carb journey you tripped a little bit, which pretty much everyone on here has done at one time or another. It is important to look back on that occasion and analyze why you cheated so it does not happen again. Now here's your positive reinforcement.

Give Atkins a fair 2 week induction trial = don't eat carbs not allowed on the diet and . I can guarantee you will see results on the scale and/or in your clothing. Most importantly, exercise is NON NEGOTIONABLE. GET YOUR BODY MOVING, even if it means taking a flight of stairs at work instead of the elevator or parking your car far in a parking lot so you have to walk more.

most people slip because they cheat a little, and little do they know that cheating even a little can cause stalls and ultimately cause emotional distress. Sorry, I believe in tough love, but you CAN do it.

This is very much worth it. Do it for you, because you want to be thin and healthy, not for anyone else. You are worth it.

Everytime you are strong and resist tempation, it is a victory....feed on those victories rather than feeding on cake!

An excuse is just a way to justify what we wanted to do anyway....so, what's your excuse?
