Just wondering if I am in ketosis. I don't want to go out and buy ketostix (unless I can find them locally?). I've heard that your breath stinks or your urine stinks, but i've had neither of those. Do some people not experience the bad breath/urine? Also I weighed myself once at the beginning of induction but don't plan on weight until the end so I can't judge from the weight if I am.

You can find the stix in the diabetic section of Walmart!

one trick that many members do is to cut the stix's in half, lengthwise making 2 out of 1. makes them last longer.

Not everyone's symptoms are the same. I've never had either of those symptoms.
Are your clothes fitting a little looser? Is your appetite and/or cravings suppressed? I think it's a good idea to find out for sure one way or another if you're in ketosis, because if for some reason you're not, why wait till the end of Induction to find out?~Attek

True, can't say for sure or not if the clothes are a little looser as I sort of buy loose clothes alreadyOriginally posted by attekNot everyone's symptoms are the same. I've never had either of those symptoms.

But my appetite is definetely supressed and every once in a while I get a metallic smell/taste in my mouth. Also I do track everything on fitday and I know I haven't gone above 20g carbs so I am following it completely.

It sounds as if you are off to a good start
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

wow.....I never thought to do that before now. I never had an issue with running out of stix or using them too frequently....I only use them when I first start induction and then if I need an ego boost here and there. But knowing that I can get double the amount for the price of one bottle is nice!
Down to about 10 in my bottle right now......will be making that a quick 20! Thanks fo the tim!
