  • It So Hard!!!

Oh My Gosh! its SOOOOOOOOO hard to keep myself from stepping on the scale!!! i am trying so hard to wait until Saturday next week (which will be the end of my 2 weeks on Induction)... but today (Sunday) i have been in here reading all the new Posts and i see how many people have been weighing in Every Single Day since they started... or every 1 - 2 - 3 days... and they are losing great amounts of weight and are so exicted!!! I WANT TO FEEL LIKE THAT!!! but im not going to do it... im going to wait until Saturday, only because of my Weight and Age... and i just KNOW that i am going to be Metabolically Resistant to weight loss... (i take allergy medication AND hormones) so i dont think im going to be reading anymore today and maybe not too much at all during the week, because it just makes me want to jump on the scale! Wish Me Luck Guys!!!!!

You are a candidate for the No Weigh board challenge! I know it's hard not to weigh daily. I would say to measure yourself now and avoid the scale. You can lose many inches while not losing pounds!

You're doing great! Avoid the scale and all of it's temptations! You'll also notice that those people that post about weighing-in once or several times a day are also the first to post about not losing anything one day and feel like giving up or binging because they got discouraged...we've all wanted to step on the scale everyday to check our progress while losing, but you'll be much better for it if you stick it out!

      Best of luck!

I am really bad about stepping on the scale, I will be moving it out of my bathroom tonight. Because they are right about the frustration, and the inches thing. Nothing has moved acording to the scale but I lost 2 inches.

You can do it!! Only a few more days to go - you are past 1/2 way there.
Just "Step Away From The Scale and no one gets hurt!" If you have to remove temptation, have someone hide it from you.

Good Luck!! You are doing great!

            Re: It So Hard!!!

Everyone here is sooo right! Try not to be tempted by the scales...rely on measurements and how you feel to gauge progress!

I made the mistake of stepping on the scale after 2 days...I'd lost 6lbs which I was so excited about but then the scale stuck...and i've only lost 1lb more this week! I could have been so discouraged, but I feel the difference and already people have commented on seeing a difference...that's the important thing here...not how much we weigh but how our bodies are changing!

I know Atkins is working no matter what the scale says...so I'll be staying away from it until the end of induction, then it'll be a weekly weigh in at most!

            Good luck

                Re: It So Hard!!!

Do you own a pair of pants and a top that are a little on the snug side? That's what I'm trying to rely on lately. I found that I wasn't seeing a lot of action on the scale, but my clothes were getting a looser. That might help with the I must weigh myself mentality. You'll know you're losing inches. Then when you get on the scale, you'll look like this:

                Hehehe.
A long time ago, I went from 317 to 234.
                Today, I'm starting over again...
