    I am asking a big favor I know.

    Just want to see what everyone thinks I should put on my grocery list this weekend.

    I love the carb counter card that Atkins gave me in the book.

    I've been trying a new veggie each week. Sauteed grated rutabaga - thumbs up. I think I'm going to try mashed parsnips this time.

        I bought rutabaga for the first time last week- a root veggie like potatoes, found near the parsips and carrots in my grocery store. So I was thinking if I shredded them and then sauteed them they might taste somewhat like hash browns? They have a slightly different texture and a little sweeter taste, so it wasn't quite the same but I still liked them.

            Rutabage (swede to us in UK) is on the starchy vegetable rung and looks like this


            You could have celeriac (celery root) on induction instead


            When looking for a picture I saw one with a celeriac 'lasagne' recipe mentioned. Click on the link to be take to the recipe which I have posted in our 'Side Dishes' forum here.
            This "lasagne" does not contain any pasta, it's simply layers of cooked celeriac slices and celeriac purée, topped with a bit of parmesan (which you can well do without) and popped in the oven for just 15 minutes. The result is a creamy side dish of celeriac which I love to serve with steak or a Sunday roast... so simple, but utterly delicious

              Another induction and later acceptable veggie that I use for "hashbrowns" is turnips. I blanch them first then brown them in the skillet with olive oil.

                I had steak, bake potato - bad, rolls -badddd, califlour with cheese.

                  It depends on what is in the steak sauce - but a lot of the premade steak sauces have sugar.

                    Yes steak sauce has molasses/sugar in it so you shouldn't have it. Carb options used to have a steak sauce that was very good (similar to HP sauce). They don't have products here anymore but I think they do in the US?

                      Oops on the rutabaga and the parsnips...sorry I suggested them...I guess that just goes to show you should take your book to the store with you when you are buying something new, or double check it before you leave the house!!! Oh well, at least I will know when I get to the starchy rung that I can eat rutabagas with no trouble. I think I'll try the celeriac root...thanks for the suggestion.

                      That all said and done, I guess you're still wondering what to put on your grocery list and I haven't been any help. So I thought I would list some of my meals this past week in case any strike you as inspiration:

                      taco salad (homemade seasoning mix, so low-carb)
                      rotisserie chicken (ditto) with roasted green beans
                      chef salad with ham, hard-boiled egg, bacon
                      spinach quiche
                      crab legs
                      roast beef

                      I also had Chinese stir-fry last night, but you would have to be very careful to make that Induction-friendly.

                        Oh awesome!!!! I will have to start making out my Grocery List really soon!

                        Darn man I didn't think steak sauce was that bad for you.

                        Oh well, I am pretty sure I could make my own carbless steak sauce.

                        IT WAS SO GOOD THOUGH IT WAS JACK DANIELS SMOKEY STEAK SAUCE.......yummm........ I like A1 though LMAO
