  • Induction Day 6

Well, here I am at day 6. Overall I think it's going great.

I love the food!! The recipes in Linda's induction menues totally rawk! Everything is delicious. I'm terrible at portion control, so eating small amounts of crappy "diet" food has always put me off losing weight. A small (for me) portion of these really tasty Induction friendly recipes is more than enough for me. I've found myself well satisfied with every meal and snack.

I've learned a few really valuable things. A smaller portion (than what I'm used to) really does fill me up if I set my fork down after every bite and take a sip of water. Slowing down and savoring each bite really does satisfy me. I've never actually been able to do that until now. Shopping and cooking at home and preparing for each meal is totally doable. We've never done that. We always put off shopping and end up making dinner out of tortillas and cheese, or going across the street to the restaurant. Bad for the bod, bad for the wallet.

I've challenged myself to exercise by participating in the challenges here. Turns out I really can churn out those 100 abs and get up and get on with my day. I've always put it off, saying no time for that right now. Or I'm to sleepy, I'll do it in the morning. We don't have a scale at home, so the only time I can weigh myself is at the gym, might as well work out while I'm there, right?

I'm 2.8 lbs closer to my goal. I feel more energetic. and I feel more in control.

The only complaints I have are I can't quite seem to keep up with tracking our food. I've purchased the Fitday software and it works great, but when I enter the ingredients from the menu's on Linda's, the numbers don't work out the same. I know I'm probly doing something wrong, but it's been a bit frustrating to me. I've spent so much time on menu planning, shopping, cooking and trying to track, some other aspects of my life have taken a back seat. I hope that all this will get easier and quicker as time goes along. I'll have to start concentrating on my business again soon.

Thanks to all the nice, smart folks on this board. Just reading here and seeing answers to other people's questions has helped me tons!

Here's to my next successful week of induction!!
