  • No Energy

Hello... I am in my 10th day of Induction and for the first few days, I had no energy. I just considered that normal due to starting a diet. The last 4 days have been different, with renewed interest in things and more energy. Except for today. I have been unbelievably tired today - just incredible!

My starting weight was 180 lbs and current weight is 176 lbs.

Could someone PLEASE tell me of an Induction food that will give me energy? Thankyou so much!

Make sure you're getting enough water--sometimes dehydration can lead to weakness, dizziness, etc.

Also make sure you're eating enough fat. Fat is what our bodies are using for fuel! Your ratios should be 65% fat, 5% carbs, 30% protein. Have you checked out fitday? It's a great site that calculates all the grams and percentages for you.

      Re: No Energy

It's probably still the effects of induction flu as well. It should pass...give it some time. I had a lot of trouble sleeping at first, causing tiredness, but those were the only negative effects I can remember. Then after about a week or two I got back to sleeping regularly. Although to be honest, I don't need as much sleep as I used to overall.

Hang in there, drink your water, and eat your veggies!

        Re: No Energy

Thanks for replying, julirama and higgies! I am drinking quite a bit of water every day - probably about 3,000 ml (I think that is 105 fl.oz?)

As for fat, do you really mean the fat on bacon, and chops etc - you really have to eat the fat, not just the meat? I don't mind at all if that's what you mean - I love meat including the fat.

I will check out fitday.com in a few moments.

Yes, I am eating veggies - salads are a part of lunch, and dinner as well, most days (prefer salads to cooked veg).

        Thanks again!
