  • Crazy weight loss on Induction?

Okay guys, I've been on induction for right at a week now, and the scale is saying some funky things.

Last night, it said 326.2, down from 333. I was extatic. This meant a few things: 1. I'm officially down 44 pounds from my highest weight.
    2. I only have 26 pounds to first mini goal.

However, I got up this morning, jumped on the scale again (I figured that I should get on in the morning, sans clothes, when I didn't have food being digested, and I didn't have as much swelling.

This morning, the scale said 319. Then, I peed, and got on again, and it says 316.

I would be more extatic, if I knew that this was truly possible. Now, granted, last night when I got on the scale, I was wearing my gym clothes (lots of layers), and I had just eaten about an hour before (salad, and hamburger. Mmm.), but Im not entirely convinced that it is possible to lose almost 10 pounds in your sleep.

Note: I try not to get on the scale this much. In fact, the last time I got on before this was last Sunday. Today is my weigh in day.

Atkins is amazing, I know. But is it this amazing?

I can resist everything except temptation.

Some of that is just water weight. Still, good job! Yay!

Hi there chelledotcom. I just went through this very same thing a few days ago. I went to bed one night at 216 and woke up the next morning at 207! I thought maybe I had left some fat lying in bed I posted about it and was told that it is indeed possible to have such weight fluctuations and really the very best time to ALWAYS weigh yourself is first thing in the morning after that trip to the bathroom, never at night. I rarely ever weigh myself like that and I'm now on day 7 of induction so I'm going to wait until day 14 to weigh myself again. I think the thing that will really be the BIG boost is when we feel it in our clothes!

This happened to me as well when i first started. Although it says 319\316 now if you check tomorrow morning, it might go up a little. You are going to flucuate alot so its best to just not weight in as much. (but i too was a scale-junkie - but the numbers got me so confused some times so i just tried to weigh in every other day). But either way - your doing great, keep up the good work!!!

I'm trying to be a former scale junky. As I use to weigh mysefl morning & night. Just to see the weight difference. It makes me crazy to do it.
So as of this morning, I'm going to try & weigh myself on 2 times a week. Then go from there.

I have noticed naked i generally weigh 5-7 lbs more at night then in the morning. If you have met the whooshie fairy (her pic is in my siggy) you can lose that many scale lbs over night. You probably lost the fat over a week or so but retainted water. When the water comes off it usually does in a whoosh! I love the whooshie fairy.
