    Weighing myself tomorrow and I believe I will have lost 4 kgs (8lb 8oz) in these 2 weeks of Induction - I think that's great But gee, there is still heaps of fat, and it's all moving to different parts of the body! My legs looks so very different (and not nice). My boobs have shrunk But I can put my hands on my hips very comfortably now

    Do you think I am going to go on looking more lumpy and bumpy for a long time yet? I wonder when I reach my weight goal if I will need surgery for the overhanging tummy. I know I will never have the body of a teenager again!!

    Oh, I don't mean to assume all teenagers are slim - so I should say the body I had as a teenager!

    lumpy and bumpy?? haha! well the answer is yes and no. The place where the body burns fat is not the same in every person and you could be lumpy for a little bit as long as you have "heaps" of fat. during induction phase, most of the weight lost is water so you may see little changes in your actual appearance but don't worry. Water loss accompanies EVERY diet and just consider it a step towards a thinner you.

    Ok now the fix. Skin is a pretty stretchy material but it loses its function to do that (less collagen) as you age. The more exercise you do, the least chance you will have extra skin hanging, so do that. That means cardio!

        Yeah, exercise will help with that. I'm joining the Gym next week. I can't wait for the spring though. I like to take long walks to relax but, I'll be doing lots of weight trainning to prevent hanging skin.

          Welcome to the wonderful world of adult hood...nothing stays the same...but you can get that rock hard body back with lots and lots of cardio/weights...right now i'm just trying to lose the chunk before i really get into firming it all up....good luck on your journey...

            Thanks - I've never used weights before, and the last time I went to a gym was about 20 years ago! The only exercise I do is walking very fast. Guess I need to do more than that, as there IS a lot more I could do for exercise!

              I've been walking (almost) every evening since starting atkins 6+ weeks ago...but yesterday got the bright idea to join the gym......today was my second day and OMG...my body hurts in places I didn't even know moved...
