  • Shopping trip

Starting day 1 today , I have cleaned out my cuboards and I'm just about to go to the supermarket and do some shopping so I can stick to the plan the best I can. Does anybody have any thoughts on any 'essentials' I'll be needing ?

    Many thanks

Ditto on the above. Low-carb salad dressing (read the labels) or make your own with olive oil/vinegar. Stock up your freezer with induction-friendly veggies and buy some fresh salad ingredients.

I ditto what everyone else says. Also, chicken and ground beef are staples for me.

I would buy enough fresh veggies for 3-4 days and plan to go food shopping twice a week. Having frozen green beans, brocolli, cauliflower, etc can be a nice thing if you are in a hurry. Try to look for good sales on the meat. You can freeze it. I have at least six different sorts of cheeses in the fridge. I only drink bottled water so I buy a lot of that!
