Is it ok for me to mix together Ricotta cheese and chocolate powder and splenda? The Hersheys chocolate baking powder?
doesn't seem to have anything in it.
    no sugar
    any suggestions?

    Re: chocolate

We can't have ricotta on induction. You could use cream cheese though.

        Re: chocolate

Net carbs are total carbs - fiber... so, assuming you're in the US, it'll give you the carbs on the nutrition label, then under list the fiber, and then sugar, and then sugar alcohols...

          Re: chocolate

          Would this be induction safe?
-1 glass of cold water, two ice cubes.
          -1 T. unsweetened cocoa powder
          -1 packet splenda
          -1 T. heavy cream

I had this a few times in induction, maybe twice a week. I know induction is for killing cravings, so I may have been horribly wrong for doing this, but if it helps a new person stay on track instead of binging during a chocolate rage...

It seems Lamby-pie we are kinda on the same weight vs. height thing. Did you lose alot during your induction? Just curious. I have been seeing people that have lost lots of pounds but it seems like they were a little heavier than me from the beginning. I was just curious since we are kinda similar in weight and height.

When I have a chocolate craving always at that TOM I mix together a little cream cheese, some stevia, unsweetened cocoa powder and some cinnamon. Does the trick everytime.

The unsweetened cocoa powder is a lifesaver for chocoholics - it's technically a spice.

That looks good to me, Lamby-pie. Just don't overdo!

                  Re: chocolate

BTW... it's kind of ironic that I found this thread right now. I've been sitting at my desk all afternoon and I am craving chocolate soooooo bad. Seriously, I'm really strugging with it this afternoon. There is chocolate on every desk in this office.

So when I get home I'm going to do the cocoa and cream cheese thing and get my fix!

(Mix the cocoa, a little cream cheese, a packet of Splenda... form it into a square and put it in the fridge. It's like a little piece of fudge when it's cold.)

                    Hi Dream,

                    Thanks for the feedback.
I don't do this often, I'm really not craving chocolate that much anymore. It does help keep my diet varied.

I recently tried another variation, leaving out the cream. Knocks out some of the calories.
Just the water and ice cubes, the Splenda, and either the cocoa powder, the sugar free pudding mix, or a dab of both. It doesn't make an attractive drink (kinda tea-colored) but doesn't taste that much different.

                      Hi JB,

I lost 7 lbs during my two week induction, then the following three week veggie rung I lost 2 lbs. I knew the slow-down would happen, and was ready for it mentally.
Feburary, (dairy & starting nut rung) I lost 5.5 lbs.
This month, I've lost 2 lbs so far, just started berry rung. Would be pleased to lose another pound or two by the end of March. I know the lower I go, the more patient I have to be. I plan on reaching goal by the end of June.

So all in all, it hasn't come off very quickly, but at least I'm losing. And I am working out a lot, I know I'm putting on muscle as my legs are firmer, and I'm getting little muscle bulges everywhere.
I should add that my weight fluctuates TONS. I'll gain one lb. back, then loose two. I try not to let it bother me and work through it. I think that's where Atkins loses some people, thay take the fluctuations to heart and quit out of frustration. It is heartbreaking to see that.
