WOO WOO! I just finished my first week of induction and have lost 5 lbs and 11 inches! (bust, under bust, abs, hips, ea thigh, calf, ankle and arm). I am stoked!! Nothing will keep me from finishing week 2. I had started this diet a few months ago, but wasnt in the right frame of mind to stick to it. I finally am and soooo happy! Here is what I have learned this week...I have more energy and I am having less problems with sinus and gas problems. I am sure that wheat has always been part of my problem and everytime I go off of it am am more sure of it.
For newbies....I didnt cheat. I kept it simple, eggs, meat (mostly really thin burgers with a sprinkle of whoshistire (cant spell or say it) sauce, a little cottage cheese, cream cheese, a little chicken and a little salad. A couple of days I had one small sugar free jello snack and one day I had a carbonated diet green tea. I purposly stayed away from anything with sweetners so that I wouldnt crave sweets. I am fortunate in that I rarely ever drink soft drinks and I always drink my tea and coffee plain and I drink lots of water. I guess because of not having to go cold turkey on soft drinks etc it was easier for me. My downfall has always been pastries, pastas, breads, candys. Whew...that was tough to give up during day 1 and 2 but I am actually fine with it right now. I was thinking about cereal last night, but quickly put that out of my mind!
