I am curious if the amount of weight people lose on induction has to do with their beginning weight. My husband for instance lost 12 lbs on his induction, his beginning weight was 301 lbs. I have only been able to lose about 4-5 lbs in my inductions, my starting weight being 135 lbs once, and this time 141 lbs. If I lose 4-5 lbs in induction, should I be doing a longer induction to lose more? Or is this normal for my weight, since I am closer to my goal weight than he is?

Re: Starting weight & weight loss
You should expect to lose about 10-15% of the total amount you want to lose during the 2 weeks of induction. I'm not saying that you will, but it's a good estimate. The more you have to lose, the faster it might initially come off in terms of total lbs. Since you only have 21lbs to lose, losing 2-4lbs during the 2 weeks is expected. You've done great, don't fret it!Higgies
