  • I have a question for the women....

    Dear Ladies......

    I seem to have a little visitor this week. The one that lasts 5 days, and brings its cousins Cramps and Misery with it lol. What I wanted to know was do I still attempt to weigh myself during this time or do I wait? Because I know if I get on that scale I will be mighty Crabby (the 3rd cousin) about the number I see there. Also I want to move onto the extended induction for 2 more weeks b4 I move to OWL. Do I wait until after my annoying friend goes away, then post my final results and move on?

    wish I could give you an answer to your question but I don't know. I've not had a visit from those pesky folks since before I started Atkins almost 5 weeks ago
    I'm not sure if it's the different foods or what but something sure is making them stay away!

    I'm sure someone more informed in such matters will be along to help you with an answer soon

      You probably will be a little heavier during your period due to water retention. But when its over you will drop all the water weight, so it's completely up to you if you want to weigh. Just keep the water weight i talked about in mind. I personally would wait just ccause i can't stand to see a higher #.

        When company comes by, I avoid the scale..they always bring extra water weight with them. so the best advice I can give is stay away from the scale durning visits...set your weigh in time one week after its over.For best results anyway....

          Step away from the scale. Its worse then a nagging mother in law. Weigh in a week.

            When I started induction, my "friend" came the next day. The numbers still went down though. Atkins would only take away your water weight, i'd assume!

              If the scales is going to affect you that negatively, then stay off them until it's over. A lot of success has to do with your mental attitude. Post your weight the first time you do weigh.

                Oh my goodness. Do yourself a big favor and just wait until it's long gone. Weighing yourself during "that time" is just like beating your head against a brick wall and no good will come of it.
