HI, I am new to Atkins. I am on day 7 and I have been feeling ok. I am down 10 lbs. I have a question.
I read the book and its also posted on the website...
"Eat no more than 20 grams a day of carbohydrate, most of which must come in the form of salad greens and other vegetables. You can eat approximately three loosely packed cups of salad, or two cups of salad plus one cup of other vegetables (see Acceptable Foods)."
On the Aktins site it states "at least 12-15 grams of which must come in the form of salad greens and other vegetables".
I eat the recommended 3 cups. I have salads for Lunch and Dinner. I measure everything so I know I am getting in the 3 cups. Looking at fitday for yesterday I had a total of 16 grams/carbs. My total Veggies totals 3 grams of carbs. The rest of them come from cheese, eggs, etc. 1 carb = 1 cup of Vegetables. I would have to be eating 12 cups of lettuce to come close.
What am I missing here? It doesn't make sense. Can anyone help?
