Re: Menu suggestions please?
Hi Arxida
I have split your post into its own thread on the 14-day induction forum so it wont get overlooked where it was at the end of a long thread.
I am a little confused by your stats in your signature though. They seem to show you started at 195 pounds on 14th March and are now at 180 pounds but you posted that you have lost 0 pounds in your first week.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Re: Menu suggestions please?
Sorry I didnt post anything about the sort of foods I ate on induction !
These are some of the meals I ate:
Breakfast
ham/cheese rollups with a few cherry tomatoes
a slice or no-crust quiche with bacon and/or cooked veggies added
a quarter of my microwaved flax bread recipe (link to recipes database at the top of every page here) with cheese or ham or pate on it
Lunch
meat and salad (lettuce/tom/cuc/mush/peppers) and mayo
eggs, bacon, mushrooms.tomatoes
omelette with a salad
Dinner
Biker Goddess pizza and grilled aubergines (eggplant) or courgettes (zucchini)
Vegetable marrow (summer squash) filled with corned beef or cooked ground beef mixed with mushrooms and chopped spring onions (green onions)
Chicken breast wrapped in bacon and baked in the oven with a slice of cheese melted on top with some cooked vegetables.
hope this helps.
BTW what foods from the allowed list do you like? I am sure someone can suggest new ways of cooking them if you need ideas.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Re: Menu suggestions please?
Here are some sample menus from my induction:
B: bacon, egg, tomato omelet
L: taco salad (with homemade taco mix, not high carb commercial mix)
S: pork and sauerkraut
B: crustless spinach quiche
L: cheeseburger patty with salad
S: shrimp scampi and broccoli
B: scrambled eggs and sausage
L: chef salad with ham, cheese, hard-boiled eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion
S: roast beef with horseradish or mustard, cauliflower with cheddar cheese
As you can see, my breakfast menu revolved around eggs with other ingredients. (Now that I'm in OWL, I eat less of that and more cottage cheese with berries for breakfast, just in case you're wondering from my menu if you are doomed to eat eggs forever...although many people don't even eat breakfast foods for breakfast, I couldn't really stomach eating a salad for breakfast.)
My lunch menu revolved around a salad with a meat, sometimes as part of the salad.
My supper menu revolved around a meat and another vegetable off the acceptable list.~Attek
