  • sick? too little carbs?

    hi...

i am on day 5..i have lost 8 pounds so far, and have felt great, with lots of energy and gusto...i have not cheated and am following induction to the T...today i woke up at 422am and felt sick..i mean SICK...my stomach is KILLING me, and i just want to sleep...i feel like a piece of limp celery...

i am taking a vitamin...i am drinking the right amount of water...i am going to the bathroom somewhat okay...i am exercising and walking everyday....

i have been having trouble with the carbs..i barely get to 15 in a day, usually 11 or 12..i am having the veggies i am allowed, meat, some eggs, whatever, but am finding it hard to find other carbs allowed i will eat..i dont like condiments, olives, avacados, cream cheee, etc....could this be making me feel bad?

also, if i give in and relax today, will that mess things up? if i have been walking and exercising everyday, and just take a short casual walk tonight, will i be going backwards? will my body forget all i have done to start to work it forward? if i have a shake instead of breakfast cause i dont feel well, how bad is that for me?

sorry if this is a silly post, but i am lost as to what to do and why i feel this way.....

    Princess,

I am so sorry that you're not feeling well. It's never fun to feel icky.

I do suggest that you rest today and I wish you all the best.

Princess, it sounds like induction flu to me--most of us went through it, though some were lucky to escape it. Induction affects everyone differently. For me, it was day 3 that was miserable.

Just keep drinking your water, take your vitamins, eat if you can. It might be a good idea to take it easy today. One day of rest is not a bad thing! In fact, a day of rest is called for in any exercise regimen. It gives your body and muscles a chance to repair and regroup. If you feel better later on, you could take a short walk. But when I'm feeling sick, even if it's just induction flu, I like to take it easy and recuperate.

As for the carbs, 20g is the LIMIT, not required. Just make sure you are eating your 3 cups of veggies each day. I usually only ate about 15g per day on induction.

Maybe I would check every little thing you had to see if possibly their were some hidden sugars. If I have anything w/ sugar in it..my stomach will be in knots for hours maybe even a day...

        Do you eat anything processed??
