  • so frustrating!

    I cant figure out why, but this isnt working for me lately! I am eating low carb .. following the rules & still no results .. i KNOW this diet works and i KNOW this is the healthiest way of eating for me but why am i going back & forth from 187 - 184 - 187 ................. never actually losing any weight

    yesterday i ate ...

    2 hamburger patties w/ cheese
    small salad with a slice of tomato
    olive oil & pepper for dressing

    about 6-8 peperonies with a lil bit of cream cheese on them

    2 hard boiled eggs with mayo & mustard ( egg salad )

    about 1-2 ounces leftover porkroast

    1 oz cheddar cheese

    1 diet soda

    1 sugar free jello


    so i could cut out the jello & soda but that should still not account for a 3 lb weight gain ....

    if the pop has caffeine, and if they both have asperteme, i read it can stall you and stop you from loosing weight...

    are you constipated? that will weigh you down.....

    drinking lots of water?? getting exercise??

    last but not least...it isnt about the pounds...have you read this yet?

    i am sure it will all even out.....everyone is different and like the book says, it isnt about the pounds, but the inches and how you feel.....if you feel better, then that is the best thing in itself...and if your clothes fit better, that is awesome......good luck!!

        i ate a salad with my hamburger patties .. about 2 cups lettuce & a quarter of a tomatto & a few slices of onion so i dont think it was the lack of veggies

          I'm not sure but I think you should stay away from Tomatoes, and onions during induction too.

            Tomatoes and onions are acceptable, although it is possible you could have a reaction to them...but not if you've eaten them in the past and successfully lost weight. I'm glad to see you're getting plenty of veggies... I actually didn't think that had anything to do with it, but I was a little concerned. When did you start, and how much do you have to lose?

              1 diet soda caffine free at "only one a day" had me stalled during weeks 3-4 I cut out that one soda i've lost 3 more pounds end of week four till now week 5. it's totally boring but i cut that out i added more plain WATER the weight picked back up with coming off. I drink close to one and a half gallons of water a day.

              RESTART 4/1/2010 WEIGHT 241 GOAL 150.
              Went totally off atkins now i'm right back where I started in 2007. 75 POUNDS were lost and gained BACK AUGH.

                Is TOM near? That can cause water retention.
                Have you measured yourself? You might be losing inches even if the scale isn't moving. I restarted on the 9th and have only lost a couple pounds, but the inches are coming off.
                How much water do you drink?
                I would cut out the soda and jello and see if that helps.
                It doesn't look like you're getting much fat. Try adding some more. You should be trying to eat about 65% fat, 5% carbs, 30% protein.
