  • Best Burger filler and seasonings?

I was wondering what fillers/seasonings are everyones favorite for grilled burgers? I have never used crushed pork rinds so I don't know if that is any good as a filler.

    Any suggestions would be great.

I use a mixture of lean ground beef and ground turkey, kind of helps them stay together better, off course fresh mushrooms chopped up with a little onion and garlic are sweeeeeeeeeet!! A strip or 2 of bacon, little provolone, wrapped in lettuce leafs....Hardee's low carb my butt.....haha!!!!! We got the real deal here!!

I've never used fillers, but as far as seasonings go, I like to use Natures Seasonings OR Jane's crazy mixed-up salt and Jane's crazy mixed-up pepper.

We buy all of our beef locally. The stuff we are eating now came off the farm of one of my co-workers.

I don't put anything in for burgers, other than sometimes I will take two thin patties and put blue cheese inbetween and seal it up before grilling or frying. Normally, I sprinkle with a little sugar free Frontier garlic salt (Frontiercoop.com) We buy it at the health food store. Oh and topped with cheese and mushrooms.

I'm getting hyngry reading about all these burgers.

I used to buy these burgers at Whole Foods before I started, but once I read the label I saw they had sugar listed as an ingredient so I started making my own. They were called Cowboy burgers, I use lean ground meat an egg or two to help the meat stick together, shredded cheese (your choice, I like to change it up everytime) and some diced jalepeno peppers and crumbled bacon, mix well, form patties and throw on the grill or in a pan on the stove or oven and usually I have faux potatoes with this. My husband loves when I cook this meal.
