  • Not really eating enough...

Well I started yesterday and Ive noticed I am not hungry and due to being so busy I will see that its late afternoon and Ive not eaten since this morning. I know thats not good for me but Im finding it hard to have time to prep anything good to eat.

Any ideas on food I can grab on the run that are good for the induction faze? Ive been eating some celery and cream cheese and yellow bell pepper for late snack before dinner, but have skipped lunch and mid morning snack. Will I still lose or stall?

      Hi
I always like to keep some cooked chicken drumsticks in the fridge for times when I'm in a hurry, they're very easy to grab on the way past!! Cheese is also a good snack food to have handy, so long as you keep within your daily allowance!

Bolied eggs are a good standby too along with some cooked meats and maybe you could keep some induction salad veg in a tub in the fridge...add some mayo and you have a ready made meal in minutes!

      Good luck

        Re: Not really eating enough...

When I shop, I portion things out into baggies. When I grill meat, I always make extra so I have some ready for a quick snack or a meal. It's so easy to grill a large package of chicken tenders. I'll have some for dinner, and I will portion out the leftovers. That way I can grab a baggie of chicken tenders, ranch dressing, veggies, a cheesestick, and maybe some pepperoni for a balanced, quick, and CHEAP lunch!

Just make sure to stay away from the bars and shakes. The ingredients are not legal for induction, and these products can cause stalls and HUGE cravings. Stick with whole, unprocessed foods whenever possible.

Thanks so much ladies, I got the hang of the baggie idea. I had some celery cut and washed in a baggie and just had that for breakfast with some cream cheese. I think I might of been eating to much of that though. I got a tub of it the other day and its looking sort of low for being my 3rd day. Opps.

I really need to go buy the book today, I just have not had the time. I cant tell you how busy I am, a run to the book store wasn’t in the cards the past 3 days so been limping along with info on this great board. BUT will go get it to learn more about portions.

            Re: Not really eating enough...

I like celery w/ cream cheese and then I lay a slice of roast beef or turkey from the deli (keep an eye on if they are injected with anything)...its a meal for me. I have done that for breakfast when I have felt I was up to my eyeballs with eggs. lol

I also bought beef sticks from Hormel that are 0 carbs (I found them at Sams Club..they might be at Walmart too)...when I am in a hurry I grab 2 of those and a cheese stick and a baggie of fresh cut salad veggies pre measured and I am good to go. This works great for me on the days I have to go out of town and on a long drive.

            Hugs, Mel
