to my understanding one egg has 70 calories and 0.6 carbs. How many calories and carbs does just the white part have and how many carbs and calories does just the yolk have?

    thanks!

    Re: egg help

I found the answers at www.fitday.com ...you can type in egg yolk or egg white to get the nutritional breakdown. Here's the info for a large egg:

    YOLK only:
    60 calories, 5g fat, .3g carb, 2.8 protein

    WHITE only:
    16 calories, 0g fat, .3 carb, 3.5 protein

Eggs are a perfect food for atkins if left whole. On induction you should be striving for a ratio of 65% fat, 5% carbs, and 30% protein.

Hard boiled eggs are awesome because they make a perfect snack and are easy to bring to work.

I pickle my eggs in half vinegar and half water with all sorts of peppers, garlic and sea salt, for an extra kick.

I guess you have to be a guy to like that kind of stuff.

Ya know I never thought of pickleing them, and I do love them that way, especially the way they do them in old time taverns. I know now I need to hook me some up.
