  • I nearly cheated last night....

Today is day 6 for me, last night was the hardest of all days which I found odd. I know the first 2 to 3 can be hard but they where easy for me and yesterday was my hard day. I was really hungry last night and NOTHING was filling me of making me feel satisfied. I ended up getting my husband to go get a big steak and grill it for me which did the trick. But I was getting so close to cheating. Today I feel really tired too, I did go to bed a bit late but normally that’s not a big deal for me.

Does anyone know why at day 5 I was like this? Am I not getting enough fat? That is the only thing I am thinking of. I might not have been eating enough protein. Id like to know if other people feel this way and when they do how do they handle those times?

Aussie, usually when I don't feel "satisfied" with a meal it's because I haven't eaten enough fat. Fat is what keeps us satisfied. Protein helps fill us up, so it's important to eat enough of that in a day! Be careful of eating TOO much protein, as an excess converts to glucose and then ultimately to fat in our bodies. Do you use fitday? It's a handy tool to see if you're getting 65% fat, 5% carbs, 30% protein from your meals.

I am so happy to have read the words "I NEARLY cheated", as by definition that means that you didnt cheat. I am really proud of you!

Congratulations *not* cheating. I'm like Julie, if I have like, intense cravings, usually I need something really high fat and then I'm fine.
