  • Induction Flu

Hi everyone! I just restarted induction. I was on the low carb way of life for a long time until I started a new job where I was always traveling and then I started eating whatever was there - fast food, food on the airplane, anything I could get my hands on. I have gained sooooooo much weight. My old clothes don't even fit anymore. I went shopping for more clothes the other day, but have you all noticed that all the clothes are either skin tight (like in the junior's section) or they are for older people (in the women's section). Where can you find hip, trendy clothes that aren't skin tight and that don't cost a fortune? BTW, I didn't buy anything new because of this and my reward for when I lose the weight is to buy some new clothes.

Now, I am in the 3rd day of induction. I actually started it last week but it made me so sick with the Atkins flu that I had to stop. I was so sick to my stomach and head that I gave in and had chicken noodle soup and crackers and a coke. It went down hill from there. Now I am back on it. I have had headaches, stomach aches, and have felt very weak, but I'm sure things will be better tomorrow. I haven't even been able to exercise because of how bad I felt. I haven't been taking any multivitamins because I thought it would upset my stomach even more, but maybe I should. It is also difficult for me to eat when my stomach doesn't feel good, but I make myself eat something. It's like I am starving, yet my stomach hurts so the thoughts of eating meat and fatty foods is sickening. I am plugging through anyway. I am determined to make it!

I am starting to notice a difference in my stomach since I am losing all the water weight. That is keeping me motivated. I can't wait to start wearing cute clothes again!

      Re: Induction Flu

I am on day 9 of inducation and I'm finally staring to feel better. I had nausea, headaches, extremely weak muscles and was really tired but at the same time had trouble falling asleep it took for ever most nights.

Take something for the headache...I did.

It'll get better stick with it you'll be glad you did.
