    Flaxmeal

Is flaxmeal allowed in Induction, if it's for fiber(to help with constipation)...or does it count as something in the 'nuts rung'? What about Metamucil?

    Thanks!

    Re: Flaxmeal

According to Chapter 8 of DANDR 2002, fiber supplements like flax meal, psyllium husks, and wheat bran are allowed for daily fiber supplementation at 1 tablespoon per day. If you are constipated you can use more, until you achieve 'relief'.

Also, check the sugar content of the flavor of Metamucil you get - it isn't always just psyllium husks. My dad used to get an orange-flavored one that was really really sweet.

Uh oh...I have the orange one. I'll check it when I get home, thanks for the heads up!

And you can add more flax dishes once you reach the nuts & seeds rung of OWL too.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
