  • Starting Again

Here I am, back again. Last time I was doing good, lost about 15 lbs my first three weeks, then didn't lose anything for the next 3 weeks. I got really bored with the food and just gave up. I so need to lose this weight. This time I am doing something different that I didn't do last time, and thats exercise. I joined Curves last week and I've been going faithfully so hopefully that will help as well. All I can do is keep trying..

      Welcome back
Congratulations on getting into exercising this time

Have you considered how you are going to counteract the 'boredom' problem this time? Maybe you might think about moving to OWL after your first 14 days induction to start expanding your food choices and allow yourself more experimentation with recipes?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Best of luck to you, I have felt your discouragement. I did really well the first week on induction and have been faithful this week but have been in a stall this 2nd week.

Just stick with it, one day at a time. It sounds like you are making a healthy lifestyle change that can only help you in the end.

        Good Luck~

SSG, this is probably my sixth or seventh time doing Atkins over the last 8 years. I always gave up during the post induction stall.

The last time, I just stuck to it, and pushed right through it. I am so glad I did!
You might just be one of those people that lose in fits and starts as you go along. You'll have mini-wooshes along the way with a few weeks in between.
May I suggest be wary of the scale? Weigh if you want to, but don't take the numbers to heart if they will make you quit Atkins. Look at it in the long term. Where will you be three months from now, six months from now? A year from now?
