  • is sour ceam Ok?

Ok i am going to start atkins tomorrow and I got some great low carb recipes. I am just not sure if I can have sour cream, tomato sauce, ham for eggs. I just want to make sure I get this right.

    thanks

You can have all that, bombie!

Sour cream is limited to 1 ounce a day for induction. Tomato sauce is fine, just be careful with the carbs and make sure you choose one that has no sugar added. Ham is fine too, again, be careful of added sugars.

    Good luck!

The lowest carb tomato sauce comes in both Contadina and Hunt's, and has only 3 total carbs per 4 tablespoons. Not bad for a taco salad!

I found a sauce at the store today that seems to be really low. "Simply Enjoy" is it's name. It has ( for 1/2 cup):
          4 Carbs
          2 Fibre

2 NET Carbs for 1/2 cup

Haven't tried it yet. For all I know it could taste like dishwater.

Sounds promising - but make sure it doesnt contain any non-induction ingredients by looking at the list on the jar!

Another thought - I noticed you spelled 'fibre' the british way, are you in UK? If so the fibre carbs are listed separately from the carbohydrates as they are not counted in the total carbs, so that 4 carbs might be the 'net' carbs.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

No, not UK... All USA. Just the older i get, the more mistakes I make.

Not really a mistake - just writing in a different language!!
So your carb count seems good - assuming the ingredients are all 'legal'.
