  • SO frustrated!!!

    and disappointed....and mad !

I just have to vent!! ( hope ya'll dont mind)

I started this last tuesday, was even able to get my mother in law on the wagon!

I "thought" I had read everything right and "thought" I was doing this right....I read the rules, read the acceptable list...then read the sample menu.....apparently that was my mistake!

i followed it only changed the fish to another meat or chicken. Went out on a two day hunt looking for the low carb tortillas and flat breads it has in the menu, even found the soy flour...loaded up on everything from my ingredient list off the menu. Well after reading the rules again last night......I guess those things are for ONLY if you cant stand not having bread and that even they can slow you down if not stall you!!!!

I was so happy I found everything I thought I needed and was thrilled I could eat something with my egg!(that is so hard to do alone)

so now I have to START OVER again today

Its ok we all learn from our mistakes. The first steps on anything new are always going to be confusing. Chalk this one down as experience and pick up from where you left off.

As Rich said, we all had to learn at the start

Try the revolution rolls recipe for buns or wraps which is made from eggs and cream cheese and induction-legal. http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ead.php?t=6807
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

I was a bread-a-holic. I can't tell you how much bread I ate. Now, I eat my 'sandwiches' wrapped in lettuce, cabbage leaves, or inside out omitting bread and using the thinner cuts of meat as the outside. I really don't miss the bread. You don't have to stop eating sandwiches, ~ just create a new sandwich...I never feel deprived...I feel blessed that I can still eat and lose weight!

This program rocks and the ADBB is full of ways, people and motivation to make it work for you. BEST WISHES....live, learn and improve your life. We're hear for you!

Least you caught your mistake fairly early, and it was an honest mistake. I think it will be okay. I can understand why it would make you a little though.
I love bread, but found that the craving does go away.
I like taking lettuce and using a piece on each side of a cheeseburger...

Checkout the recipe board, they have a lot of neat ideas how to make substitudes. Atkins friendly pancakes, french toast, muffins... I better quit or I will be hunting for a late night snack.

          Take care!!

You can't eat your cake and have it your way. Darn.

U have to start over, but I am sure it will be a bit easier this time since (I assume) you have already made some dietary changes.
