  • Cheat Free Easter?

Hey everyone, I was just checking to see who all managed to have a cheat free Easter. I am so proud of myself, cause I can honestly say I didnt have one single piece of chocolate or candy. It wasnt easy cause my husband bought the girls 120 worth of chocolate, and their nana's & aunts/uncles of course gave baskets. It literally looks like the Easter bunny got robbed at our house. I was hoping my hubby would of cheated so I could had and not felt so guilty... lol

Tomorrow is my last day of induction, I havent dropped hardly any weight in week 2 but I have lost several inches. Im giving myself a year to get fit, so I have time.
Hope everyone had a happy holiday.

I was cheat free on the chocolate front too, but it was my 3rd Easter on this plan, so all was going to be ok.

I'm happy that you made it through Cheers2you, congrats on being strong.

Cheat free, with no problems! We didn't have Easter candy at our place, so that made it pretty easy. And with the delicious dinner we made, I had no desire to cheat. Any plan that lets me eat chocolate cheesecake with raspberries gives no reason to cheat!

Thankfully I made it...even though I spent 8am-4pm baking desserts and breads for the 18 people attending our dinner. I was able to get around touching a single bite of all of the sugary and foods made with white flour.

Interestingly enough, most of my baked goods were eaten by the 3 people in our family trying to lose a substantial amount of weight on the Weight Watchers plan and my mother especially felt bloated, overly tired and extremely hungry for the rest of the night

My kids were with their dad for Easter so I had no reason to buy candy, but I do enjoy walking down the easter ilse at Walmart and smelling the sweets and chocolate.I didn't cheat, not once.Having scented candles around seems to help with not wanting sweets.

Well I didn't cheat on candy I actually cheated on coleslaw. It is SO good and there is no way to make it Atkins friendly so I ate it and I ate a lot of it. Im up 1lb but im back on track and im not beating myself up over it either!

I made it cheat free too! Candy and dessert was widely avaliable, we even had litle mini baskets with chocolate treats at everyones place at the table, but I gave mine away and didn't think much about it. (except to grimace at the thought that the hostess, who knows I'm dieting, even put one at my place at all =P)

I passed on the desert myself, but then treated myself to a chai tea latte, not thinking it would be so overloaded with carbs. It itself almost had 3 days worth of carbs in it. I didn't realize it until the next day when I went up 2 lbs, then checked the starbucks site to see what was in it....I was disgusted with myself all day yesterday, but i'm back on track today...

                      Re: Cheat Free Easter?

Totally cheat free here too!! I had a New York Strip Steak, Green Beans, Broccoli, Faux Potato Salad, Pumpkin Cheese Cake, Club Soda - Believe me when I say, Easter was never this good before I discovered this way of Life!!

                      I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Idahogirl - Cole Slaw tsk tsk tsk.

1/2 medium cabbage, finely shredded, about 1 pound
                      1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup Splenda or equivalent liquid Splenda
                      2 tablespoons white vinegar
                      1/4 teaspoon celery seed
                      1/8 teaspoon pepper
                      1/2 teaspoon salt

Mix the mayonnaise, Splenda, vinegar and seasonings in a large bowl. Mix in the cabbage , stirring to coat well. Chill several hours before serving.

TIP: It may not look like the sauce will be enough to coat that much cabbage. It will be plenty, as you'll see after it has chilled a few hours. An easier way to get the sauce evenly mixed into the slaw is to put about 1/3 of the cabbage in a large bowl and blend in all of the sauce. Now add another 1/3 of the cabbage and mix well, then repeat with the remaining cabbage.

                      Makes about 10 servings

Per Serving: 176 Calories; 18g Fat; 1g Protein; 4g Carbohydrate; 1g Dietary Fiber; 3g Net Carbs

This has been my favorite non-low carb slaw recipe for many years. The number of servings is just a guess, but you should get about 10 small servings or so. The whole recipe has about 30 carbs so if you get a different number of servings, just adjust your count

Cheat free here as well, not one single piece of chocolate passed through these lips! As a matter of fact, there is a HUGE bowl of candy not even 15 ft from me and it does not even look enticing to me. This is a HUGE thing for me as I was formerly a CHOC-O-HOLIC.

                              Hi Grant,
Could I just say in defense of the Hostess, when I host a dinner party I would never presume to decide for my guests what they should or shouldn't eat. I would think it incredibly rude to skip putting a basket at your place, just like I would put a wine glass even if you didn't drink wine. I am sure it wasn't done to be mean!
