    Hi
I was wondering how long I should walk on my treadmill for during the induction phase? I read that you don't begin to burn fat until 20 minutes into exercise. I am walking for 30 min each day, so I am only burning 10 min worth of fat. What do you think, how much should I be walking. I am a SAHM with a 19 month old and by the time I have cooked dinner and completed my chores, it's about 8:30pm. I eat dinner around 8:30pm and am free to exercise from around 9:30pm, so I have about 1 hour to myself each day. I was thinking maybe I could walk for at least 30 min each day, but do 45-50 min when I have more energy. What do you think. Am I jeapordising my weight loss by only doing 30 min of walking?

No. Any exercise is great. If you can only do 30 minutes, it's only 30 minutes. You have to remember that with Atkins, your body has less carbs to burn off, so you're burning fat with most of your activities... including more exercise. I started at 30 minutes a day, and it worked fantastic. Why not take the kiddie for a walk on the nicer days? It's good fresh air for them and good exercise for you.
