  • I screwed up - drank champaigne !! :-/

OK.... I really screwed up .....

I went to a party tonight where beautiful women were serving free champaigne....... honestly I couldn't say know after the 3rd girl who asked just decided to put it in my hand.

    Stupid excuse.... I know.

So what now....... should I just add another week to my induction or something?

How long have you been on induction? Basically your body will burn off the alcohol before it starts burning fat again... It's best to have 2 weeks of a sparkling clean induction, so if you can do that... it's better in the long run.

I would extend... if you're planning on extending a week, you have 4 days, that would be 11 days, so I would just do the extra 3 to have a perfect 14 though.

You can extend your induction if you find you get cravings rear their ugly heads after the champagne, but you dont 'have' to. When you check how much weight you have lost on the first 14 days on day 15 your numbers will be probably a little 'off' when you look at the chart in DANDR to establish your level of metabolic resistance to weightloss, so you wont have an accurate idea of what your likely CCLL will be according to that chart either.

Maybe wait till day 15 to decide whether to stay on induction for longer or move onto the veggies rung of OWL?

Now for the important question - how are you going to make sure it doesnt happen again? Having a strategy planned is half the battle won
Some people find they can avoid being 'made' to drink alcohol when they had decided not to by having a glass of sparkling water in their hand all the time so they dont have a hand free for the champagne!
Others feel they need to avoid being in the situation at all. You need to decide what will work for you.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Thanks for the advice guys. It doesn't seem it was THIS bad.

Next time I'll just grab a soda water..................

I didn't have a defense for this forced drinking strategy.... guess I do now.
