  • Got a worry about weekend lunch!

    Hello everyone,

    Ive been on the atkins before, gotten sloppy and fell off, after losing 30 pounds in 2 months! It was terrific and a proven system, so Im going for it again.

    I have been doing good all last week, and im not sure if I "cheated" yesterday.

    I went to Hooters with my buddies and had some Naked Buffalo wings from there, with mild sauce...does anyone know the facts on them? They don't have anything on their site about nutrition, and I know the TGIF wings are a good snack for home, but not sure if how Hooters made their wings, is "different".

    I cant help you on that one.... but even if it did turn out to be a cheat (which ya can literally guarantee that sauce would of been full of sugar) you just gotta up your water and flush it all away! theres nothing you can do now so no point in kicking yourself over it.

      Evidently they sell their wing sauce in grocery stores, they have the hot version's information here, couldn't find the mild version though,

      You do have to be careful with buffalo wings but I've found, overall, that most buffalo wing are actually just fine to eat from a carb standpoint.

        thanks guys, I got them medium, and the wings really didnt have any taste to them other then just pretty much the crisp from wing itself.

        Im going to try and drink alot to day and get that erased out of my body soon.

          I have done this before, too. Wings don't usually throw me off unless I neglect to drink the water. Water does seem to work!!

          what the rungs mean to me:
          rung 1 - more veggies
          rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
          rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
          rung 4 - berries, melon
          rung 5 - wine -
          rung 6 - beans, hummus
          rung 7 - other fruits
          rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
          rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
          Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
          (on to pre-maintenance)

            Hello. I was actually just at the grocery store and almost bought the Hooters mild sauce so I happen to know exactly what's in the sauce. It has 1 carb per tablespoon.
            I don't think that this should have harmed you too much. I know when I go out I get buffalo wings as a good backup if I can't find anything else on the menu.

              thank you! I had about 12 of them, so i think its safe to say about 10 carbs or so, since i only had water, and so i should still be good. Thanks everyone!
