  • Hungry.....?

    Why am I so hungry still? I am on day 5 and I am hungry. I did Atkins before, losing 40 pounds ( I have gained back 15) but I don't remember being so hungry....
    My ratios are good ( I thought I might not be eating enough fat at first) so I don't know what the deal is.

    Maybe I am not actually hungy, maybe its cravings...oh, wait, NO.....I am HUNGRY!!

    I am guessing I am not in Ketosis yet. (?)

    Are you drinking enough water?

    when you think your hungry always have a glass of water in case its just thirst!!

    on my second time around it wasnt until about day 10 i started getting the, "i cant eat today" feeling!

    and if all else fails... EAT!

      Thanks Emma.

      Hopefully it's just water or it being my second time around. I will really start paying more attention to my water intake and go from there.

        From my experrience, if you are hungry try the water thing but if still hungry, then eat! Just don't over eat! It's alwayes ok on the atkins to eat as long as you know it is hunger and not thirst!

          Your ratios can be good but you could still not be eating quite enough of everything. If you really are hungry, eat... you'll be fine.

            I was looking for this thread...I was wondering the same thing but I just want to clarify...what should I be eating when I am hungry? More protien? Thank you so much. I am doing great with the water thing so I know I am just HUNGRY!!

              If you are hungry go for something fatty.. meat... It will help to fill you.. The first few weeks of Atkins I wouldn't worry about calories... I am not worried about calories until I hit a major stall...

                You could try Hoodia Gordonii lab tested brands only. Will definitely supress your appetite if you take the right kind. I took it for a couple of days but then there was no hunger in ketosis I have to make sure I eat enough now... what a strange feeling that is.

                  Yes, something fatty will fill the gap and help ward off any possible cravings.
