Do you use them? I love the Reli-on brand, but I have a lot of trouble finding them! If you use ketostix, what brand do you like and where do you get them?

    Thanks!

        Re: Ketostix

My drug store stocks the Bayer brand Ketosticks so that's what I get.

My father was a diabetic and was very cheap. I swear he was so tight you couldn't pull a needle out of his a$$ with a tractor. What he would do is buy them and cut them straight down the middle to double his number of sticks.

I use Ketone Care test strips. I picked them up at my local drug store. They said "Perfect for Low Carb Diet" so they kinda jumped out at me. They are cool but after I am done with this bottle I probably won't pick up any more.

                Re: Ketostix

I used Reli-On Ketone strips in the diabetic section of WalMart. I have found them personally to be of mixed value - my weight loss could be stalled and the stix still registered color. But it is kind of reassuring seeing that color. And I have found one or two foods that threw me out of ketosis and changed the stix negative.

                  Re: Ketostix

I've never used the sticks...partially because I'm cheap, and partially because I guess I'm lazy--never actually looked for them in the pharmacy section. I just use my appetite to judge whether or not I'm in ketosis (I've never had ketosis breath), and I use the scale, the tape measure, and tight-fitting clothing to make sure I'm getting smaller and losing weight.
