Hi Tamara
I didn't use the ketostix myself, but I just looked it up in the book and on page 138 Dr. A says, "Strictly follow induction for 5 days, if your strips haven't changed to at least pink, check your salads to make sure you're not eating too many veggies." He goes on to say that if you're eating onions and tomatoes that these are high on the glycemic scale and to cut them out. Also too much protein will convert to glucose.
Don't rely solely on those sticks....if your apetite has decreased and your clothes are looser, then you're on the right track.
An excellent tool to help you is getting an account at FitDay. You enter your foods eaten and it tells you the protein, fat and carb count. It makes a big difference when you track it.
Hope this helps you! MorningGlory
Medieval - your results are brilliant! if they turned dark purple your body would be dehydrated - pink shows that you are drinking enough water!!
yes lovingme - it is possible... as all our bodies have different amounts of carbs that we can take... however if your going over your not doing a strict induction, you will go over naturally as you hit OWL.

Thanks Emma,
I just reread the rules of induction, and I have been following since this morning. I mistakenly ate a small bag of unsalted dry roasted peanuts. I forgot I couldn't have them on induction, but tomorrow is another day.
Lovingmeagain, just subtract the carbs from your day and you will be fine. Just a little advice for once you can eat nuts. Stick to the premeasured packs. It is so easy to over eat them.......Take it from a nutaholic.........dawn
