  • A cheese visual

    Hi
It's been driving me nuts trying to visualize what 4 ounces of cheese looks like (the amount allowed in induction)...I was just guessing it wasn't a whole lot, so have been careful with my cheese intake. I found a pic though and thought there may be more than just me who has a hard time with this one!
This picture is of 1 ounce of cheese beside 4 dice.
Hope this helps you newbies and maybe some of you other people who've been around a while longer~~

I think I've heard an ounce of cheese was about the size of your thumb. Of course some thumbs are a lot bigger than others so I wasn't ever sure how that worked!

That's a great visual - thanks! I was counting less cheese as 1 oz - now I have a little room!

To measure my ounces I use four fuzzy dice like the kind you hang from the rear view mirror of your auto. Oddly, I never seem to finish a serving.

I actually weigh my cheese on a scale and your picture looks like 1 ounce to me. I think 33grams is 1 ounce?

1 ounce weight = 28.35 grams according to my conversion programme http://joshmadison.com/software/convert/
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Yup, it is one ounce of cheese in that picture.
