    Well I am at day 12 - really sorta hard to believe.....been a fast almost 2 weeks....okay well somedays were faster than others...haha
    been sorta stuck where I am for almost a week.....I have been drinking my water, about to float away so I know that is not the problem...I'm exercising but not as much as I wish I had time for...but I try to find "exercisable" moments and get in what I can.....but I also don't have tons of weight to lose so I have heard it can be slower for those with less to lose?
    I think I've made the decision to stay on induction at least another week - there are a couple of things I might try to cut back on or eliminate and see if it helps....I know I"m in Ketosis - I ck it daily....so I dunno....could just be stubborn!!!
    I'm keeping a positive attitude and I do feel good....I haven't taken any measurements since day 1 - so maybe I will check that.....maybe I've gotten rid of some inches eh??

    dr atkins says you should loose 5 - 10% of the total weight you want to loose in the first 2 weeks of induction....anything else is pretty much a bonus, i think....so you are right on target thinking that you arent loosing more because of the amount you are trying to loose....

    someone correct me if i am wrong? i have only been here 5 weeks now, and feel weird answering posts in case i have something wrong...

      You are right, Princess if Tammy has lost 6 pounds so far in the 12 days she is doing well with her induction loss and as she has a total of 25 to lose, she has probably a low resistance to weightloss which is great

      Less than 20 ............2 ..................4 .................. 6

      20-50 ......................3 ................ 6 ................ 9

      Over 50 .....................4 ..................8 .................. 12
      Tammy - I would suggest moving on to OWL after your 14th day of induction to give you ample time to conduct the great OWL experiment where you will be both the 'lab rat' and the 'scientist' and be able to find your CCLL and work out what foods (if any) will be a problem for you in future life.

      According to Dr Atkins it is really only those with large amounts of weight to lose or with metabolic problems who benefit from extending their induction.

      Remember OWL = 'ongoing weight loss' and is really the main weightloss phase of Atkins

        You're doing fine! I'd ditto what the Princess and Elizellen said. Don't be afraid of the move to OWL. Lots and lots of us find that they even lose more in OWL than in induction, particularly on rung 1 which is extra veggies. The extra food choices are very welcome and it does take time to find your CCLL and learn how various foods affect you.
