Is there a specific brand of BBQ sauce that anyone can recommend? Today is the first really nice day of spring and the family wants to grill some chicken. I am wondering what I can have on mine. Any help would be appreciated. I am on day 7 of a clean inducation!!!

I havn'et found a safe normal barbecue sauce. Walden Farms does make a sugar free sauce, it's not great but hey at least its BBQ.

I use KC Masterpiece Low Calorie BBQ sauce. 1 carb per tbsp. Will count towards your sweetner daily allowance, I believe. I use a tbsp at a time and di my bites as opposed to slathering on and then eating. You use alot less sauce this way. I also stretch mine with Frank's Red Hot pepper sauce 'cause I like it spicy!

Instead of a sauce you might also try a dry rub, my favorite recipe is (think I got this from food network):

        1 tablespoon salt
        1 tablespoon garlic powder
        1 tablespoon onion powder
        1 teaspoon ground thyme
        1 teaspoon rubbed sage
        1 teaspoon paprika
        1 teaspoon black pepper

All you do is mix them together and rub them into the chicken before cooking it. It's best to let the rub sit on the chicken for a while first but it's not all that necassary if you don't have the time.

i was reading about bbq sauces today....

you replace sugar with splenda or some other sweetnener, and molasses with sugar free maple syrup..... (they have a brand here in canada sweetened with splenda...) ...and ketchup with sugar free ketchup...

i am not positive this is okay on induction to be honest.....

          anyone?
