  • Ok, I need some tips, pointers, food suggestions....What got you through...

The title pretty much says it, but I figured I would reach out and see what healthy induction snacks you reccommend?

Tips and ideas to help make the first couple of days go smoother, remember them as the roughest.

I keep some cooked chicken in the fridge should I ever need to pick and I also have individually bagged portions of shrimp which I love.

Last night for dinner I made a pizza using a steak as the base and it was gorgeous.

Try looking at the recipe forum. There are lots of good ideas for snacks and meal ideas as well as links to other websites that you may find interesting.

    I like this one:

Hope this helps and good luck

I made a low carb chicken soup, and days I didnt feel hungry or had no taste for nothing it was good to have.

      Short recipe
Boil 3 boneless chicken breast in water and chicken broth
Once chicken is done, remove and shred finely
Add chicken back in, and add your favorite seasonings as well as a little cream (1-2 oz). For seasonings I added Italian seaoning, garlic seasoning, old bay, mrsdash, oh and a few spoons of chicken base to make the soup a little stronger in flavor. My spice cabinet is huge so I just add freely, after checking the carb count. Allow to simmer, to let the chicken soak up the flavor.
My little girls even had a bowl with me. I added rice in theirs It makes a good left over too.

You can't eat your cake and have it your way. Darn.

I like the chicken in broth with cumin and green chilis. I also found adding a little sour cream to my eggs and meats was very satisfying.

Drink lots of water. Try making the cheese crisps. Place a small handful of grated cheese of your choice on a piece of parchment paper and nook in ghe microwave for 30 secs. Gorgeous!

My favorite induction snack was cucumber slices with cream cheese on top.
I also liked my hard cheese snack. Gouda, brick, sharp cheddar.

Remove all the high carb foods from your sight. If your family "has to have" a high carb food like cookies or potato chips, put them in a cabinet so they are out of your sight.
