  • How to have fun during induction days

I have just started the induction phase of the diet two days ago and I find that I am tired most of the time and grumpy. Any ideas for what to do to enjoy oneself and not feel so tired?

Re: How to have fun during induction days

      Emma,

That is Wednesday, Yea! I am looking forward to it. Thank you for your suggestion.

I guess I was wondering what people did during these 14 days that was different, I have about half my regular physical strength, I noticed it in Pilates and the treadmill.

I can walk to a park and take a break, garden for short while, I haven't tried music I wonder if that helps or mood altering activities like watching comedies etc. I took some potassium and that helps a bit. I was just wondering if anyone has tried anything that worked for them... to make the time pass faster, so to speak.

Last night there was a BBQ and home made lasange and my favourite white wine but I brought my own food and had Perrier insted of the white wine, and broiled chicken instead of the lasagne, I don't think anybody noticed the difference. It was fun socializing. I take long bubble baths with candles. Is there a past topic on this kind of thing I could look at?

I don't know about a thread on this - but all those are great ideas.

Any exercise, as Emma said, will be great. Also baths, watching comedies, chatting to people - anything that takes your mind off it. Sleeping is always good if you feel really bad.

It will pass and it will be worth it. Good luck

Hang in there and have faith that the horrid feeling will pass. Do a little pampering after your exercise!

Re: How to have fun during induction days

Wow! No kidding, you guys are right. I am at the end of my fourth day of Induction and things have turned around. I feel much better. My mood is great. No more grumpy. I am still weaker a little than usual but I can continue my regular work and exercises.

I started Induction with a fast day last week, well very close to a fast, just some boiled eggs and vitamins. I was very hungry and I took Hoodia which kills the hunger pains. But I did not know what to do for tiredness. I take potassium because it has helped me in the past.

I think the happiness comes mainly from knowing that I am in control of my body and these flabby parts are going to be supple and firm. That is an awesome feeling.
