  • *Ahem* Stool Question, if I may...

Just wondering if it is okay to use a stool softner like Docolace...instead of drinking the fiber drinks (I already tried the flax seed on salads and no action).

I checked the bottle and there's no mention of any carbs or carb/sugar looking ingredients.

    Okay for induction?

KB, I've tried the Dulcolax a few times, as I hate being blocked up. It worked a little too well for me, lol. I also hate having to be close to the jake.
I use Fiber-Sure every night, which is a powder made by Metamucil. Has very little taste, is gentle, and one t. does the trick.
The ingredient is inulin, which is also supposed to be good for balancing the gut and fighting candida overgrowth.
I'm allergic to flax, and psyllium makes me bloated and gassy, so had to find an alternative. I really like the Fiber-Sure.

It works too well for me also. For flax to work you need to drink a lot of water with it. Last night I ate a flax muffin. I drank a full glass of water while it was baking and another full glass while eating it.

I take Metamucil capsules at least once a day, twice if I really think about it. They're easy for me to take. HOWEVER!, the current veggie challenge we're on has had some great effects where all that is concerned. Some veggies like spaghetti squash have been really very helpful. Oh, and LOTS of water...

            Thank you all...

I think when I move from Induction to OWL and further, it will be easier to manage. Saying that, thanks for all your suggestions. Appreciate that!
