Questions Business Trip & Fibersure, Fiber, Atkins Products, Message Board ?

I am female, 41, current weight 253, lost 7, induction day 9, want to stay in induction phase for a long time, business trip, 2 days, meals provided, should I………purchase shakes and bars and eat them? 3 shakes a day and 3 bars a day and if by chance there is any meat (highly doubtful) I will eat that and just drink water………..I want to continue to loose weight, not stall……….

I was on Atkins last year, but went off cause of constipation….bla bla………..I want this time to work………I purchased fibersure….3 teaspoons each day = 15 g fiber…….on day 3 nothing is happening……….what can I do and does this stall your weight loss?

What is the best source of fiber with no carbs? Also, I used bars last time as a way to get my fiber and it worked perfect…..except I stalled…………

Why does a sugar free package say no carbs and then if I eat the product I do not loose weight? Example: Nips –caramel- sugar free- zero net carbs.

GNC Psyllium Seed Husk 500mg campsules: Does this have carbs? What do I count for my daily intake of carbs? Does this work?

How do I get the weight loss table at the bottom of my message?

    Thank you……….Chris in Minnesota

Re: Questions Business Trip & Fibersure, Psyllium, Atkins Products

I wouldn't use the bars and shakes as meal replacements on this diet. In our collective experience, those bars and shakes stall or slow weight loss for many people. I've found that many restaurants and many hotels serve "atkins-friendly" foods: eggs (boiled or fried), salads, steamed or sauteed vegetables (broccoli, green beans, asparagus, cauliflower, cabbage, etc.), and grilled or roasted meats. You're better off eating real food than artificials foods like shakes and bars.

Fibersure is inulin. While inulin is a fiber, it's not in the 'laxative' category of other fiber supplements like psyllium husk, wheat bran or flax seed. There are some people for whom inulin will cause gas and bloating.

You'll have to read the bottle of psyllium husks to see how many carbs it has. It varies from preparation to preparation, in my experience.
