  • I fell off the boat ....

    Yes, after 5 days i failed myself. I do not know if I have it in me to stay on Atkins. I want to, but I went to Publix weighed myself, lost 1 pd... And bought a ton of carbs..

    Now, I am debating starting again. I have been working out.

    I was debating weight watchers??

    Help =)

    Hi, Fairiequeen.

    Many of us have issues in the beginning of Induction, but the bottom line is that you have to find your determination and reasons behind wanting to lose weight. You didn't fail. You only had a slight stumble. Perhaps you can post your menu and let some wise folks take a gander at what you've been eating to lend a hand in advisement. And, you may also want to remember to take in consideration of water retention. A few things that have helped me tremendously are: don't weigh in but once a week, drink the amount of water needed for weight loss, and exercise. Oh, and make sure you tell youself every day that you are doing a great job taking care of you.

    Wish you all the best on your journey and decisions you make.

      Hi fairiequeen.... don't give up. I've been where you are so many times, and have always fallen back to WW only to realize (yet again) it doesn't work for me cause it doesn't handle the sugar issue for me. Too much freedom to eat carbs (sugars) to my hearts content! Hang in there. I'd like to suggest you try a challenge... there's one starting tomorrow Atkins Attack ... it goes for 6 weeks. I'm hoping being accountable to a whole bunch of people will keep me on track.

      don't give up....we're all here for you!

        Have you measured yourself? Measuring shows you immediately how much fat you've lost. A pound might not mean much to you, but each pound should be celebrated. If you have doubts, pick up a pound of hamburger or a pound of nuts in the store and see how heavy they are...that way you'll get an appreciation of how much lighter you are.

        Did you have a plan set up for times when you are feeling like diving off the boat? If you make solutions for times you are feeling blue, then it is easier to stay focused and not let temptations or obstacles jeopardize you. You can always come here and journal your feelings or talk to others to stay motivated. You can up your exercise or re-check your portions to make sure you are following the program.

        Don't give up on yourself...you are worth the effort...just get more determined and make plans to succeed.
