  • Day 10 no hunger

I am on day 10 of Induction, I feel fine, almost back to 90% energy level in my Pilates class.

I can't believe how little hunger I feel! I had 666 calories up to 5:00 pm. and I had to force myself to eat more in the evening.

I made a target of 1200 calories a day and stick to it every day. But these last few days I had to force myself to eat that much to make sure I am not malnutrished.

I have lost 6 lb so far in 10 days but I am also losing hair which really bothers me. Can I do anything about that?

BTW, I am using liquid Stevia which tastes way better than real sugar or honey and no carbs - I love it. I haven't tried cooking with it yet though.

Stevia is at health food stores or low carb stores also on the internet, one has alcohol base the other is pure liquid. There is also powder form but it doen't taste too good. I gave up Stevia for years because the first one I got was in powder form and had an awful aftertaste. The liquid form tastes better than sugar to me.

Kawispice - I was freaked out about the hair loss - it wasn't just the few strands that I usually have- there was enough hair to knit a small poodle!!! The hair loss has returned to its previous level.... I was like you - never hungry. I found I had to time meals, so that I remembered to eat. I completely stalled. I did find that once I started eating regularly (and >1000 cal/day) my weight loss increased.

Kawispice, well done on your weight loss to date. I know what you mean about the lack of hunger. I have days where I really have to force myself to eat, but on week 4 now, my appetite is slightly better. I'm working really hard to keep my cals at around 1200 per day too. Some days are better than others.

As for the hair loss - poor you. For me, I have soooo much hair, if I loose some it won't bother me! But I have heard that one side effect of this woe, is very healthy hair and skin and nails. I bet it returns to its full glory in no time.

My hair is very fine and hard to deal with. It is now better than it ever has been. It is still fine of course, but I have tons of it and it is full of body and shine. My hairdresser thinks its due to my hair products, but I know better. And my pre-TOM chin pimple hasnt shown up for months! I dont think my hair products have anything to do with that! ha!
