  • How do I know I have the right book?

Leaving aside the obvious - like the title - how do I know the "real" 2002 edition of the DANDR when I see it?

I recently ordered a copy from Half.com. In my excitement to look at some of the nuances of the program I headed out to the bookstore today to see if I could have a look at one. Imagine my dismay when I arrived to find 4 different versions of the same title! I checked the edition information and irrespective of color, all seemed to be copyrighted in 2002, save the Atkins Essentials (which I'm aware isn't the right one) and the other newer, derivative books.

How do I know if I got the right book when it comes?

I got the 2003 version (hard cover) because I couldn't get a new copy of 2002. Are they very different?

I already see some differences with my 1992 bible, but I'm not all the way through it yet.

I'm sure someone will come along who knows for sure, but I believe I read here somewhere that the 2002 version is the last one that Dr. Atkins himself wrote.
