  • Starting Wednesday!!!

    If officially decided to start tomorrow!

    I have about 90lbs to lose and its about time I get workin on that.

    Ive decided that im sick and tired of being the fat friend, the one that never has enough energy to do anything, and the one that gets out of breath first.

    So here i am.

    Anyone else starting this week that wants a buddy?

    Welcome to the board.. My advice is to have a plan for the next few weeks.. Plan what you are going to cook and eat.. if you are going out plan what you are going to have there before you go.. and when you feel like you aren't going to make it through the day..come here and read and get support!

      I take it you have read the book and know where your going?

        Hey TR,

        We should do this together, especially since we're the same age, almost the same height and have the same amount to lose. I'm just starting Day 3 today.

        Good luck getting through Day 1! I know it's cliche, but drink your water.

            I Am Starting My Diet Today Too And I Keep Falling Off The Band Wagon All The Time But This Time I Have To Get Healthier, I Want To Be More Active Doing Things With My Baby Boy Who Will Be Two This Month

              Sorry guys....i fell off before i could even get on. I was planning on grocery shopping tuesday night to start wed, but some family issues came up and wasnt able to get there at all! So Im groing grocery shopping tonight and boiling my eggs and cookin my chicken.

              Friday Menu:

              Breakfast
              2-3 egg omlet
              w/ cheddar, ham

              Lunch.
              Big Salad
              Romaine lettuce
              diced eggs
              cheddar cheese
              !/2 chicken breast

              Dinner
              Cheeseburger....no bun (
              Small salad
              All the green beans i can eat...

              Does that sound ok?

              I am going to vegas the end of june to visit someone very important...and i MUST look my best.

                  Yes, planning to succeed is the best way to make it happen. Figure out what your triggers are, what has previously caused you to fail and make solutions to get you through those obstacles. Jump in the numerous resources here - recipes, challenges, journals, forums, and motivational photos/stories to stay focused. You can do it, we are all here for you!

                    Howdy. Just had to send you good vibes and to encourage you to make sure you're exercising and drinking your water. Even walking 10 minutes, and building up 5 minutes from there every week is a great start if you're just not in the mood (speaking from a procrastonator's frame of mind...yes, that's me ).

                      I just started a new job and apparently the thing to do here is walk around the building during your breaks....Im a smoker so i figure i can smoke and walk at the same time. Probably isnt as effective but i guess i can tackle that later.

                      Im the kind of person that needs to plan, but i dont have tons of time to cook so i ahve to have premade or quick to make items. I think this is how i tend to get off program.

                        Sounds fine to me as long as:
                        1. You stick to the veggies limit of 2 cups of salad veggies plus one cup of the other list (green beans)
                        2. Keep your cheese to a total of 3-4 ounces
                        3. Make sure you are having some fat with the salads/beans, oil or fullfat dressing with no added sugar is best.

                            Soo....i bought some snow peas today...or so i thought. They had a sticker over the name and they looked like it so i grabbed them. I gethome and peel off the sticker and realize they are sugar/snow peas! it says they are 3 carbs perserving however underneath it says no fiber and 3 sugars. now are those the ones i subtract or is it 3 carbs?

                              They are 3 carbs. You would only subtract fiber if they had any.
