Hi all! I've been lurking for about a week now. These boards are great! I've learned so much from all of you. I did the Atkins Diet in the 1970's for the first time when I was a teen. In the last 10 years, I have followed WW and have done well. I'm a Lifetime Member and had met my goal and kept the weight off for about 5 years. Then I had foot surgery in January. I was unable to exercise for about 6 weeks and, of course, I did not stop eating. I gained about 12 pounds. I've tried to WW again since then but I can't stick to it. I'm burned out and starving when I'm on it. So I decided I needed a change. I investigated Atkins and knew I could eat and not be hungry. It's changed since the 70's. You can actually have vegies!! So I decided to go for it. This is day 4 (I started Monday) and I'm doing great! I had a headache and low energy yesterday but I'm better today. I don't feel deprived at all. I've got to lose about 10 pounds in the next three weeks. We have our State tennis tourney. Surely I can do that. I weighed yesterday and had already lost 4.4 pounds. (I know I'm not supposed to weigh for a while
) Pray for my success. Thanks for listening!
