So i realized on my way to work today that i forgot about half my lunch. So i have a salad but i always have something to snack on at work. There is only 1 gas station between my house and work and thats where i had to stop. Of course the twix bars and nutrageous were calling me. But i checked for the atkins bars because its all i could think of at the time, but they didnt have any. The only thing i saw was a bag of peanuts. Now i know they are not induction friendly but they are unsalted and the bag is quite small and only 4 carbs. Im wondering if i should eat those....or just be hungry....im afraid if i get hungry then ill grab a twix from the vending machine....oh boy.

Re: oh no...
From the Rules of Induction4. Eat absolutely no fruit, bread, pasta, grains, starchy vegetables or dairy products other than cheese, cream or butter. Do not eat nuts or seeds in the first two weeks. Foods that combine protein and carbohydrates, such as chickpeas, kidney beans and other legumes, are not permitted at this time.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Re: oh no...
Nuts are better than sugar!! I'd eat them if you are hungry. I never feel guilty eating nuts (well, pecans, walnuts, almonds etc) because they are SO packed with healthy nutrients. Peanuts aren't as good as those but they are better than candy and I'd eat them if I was hungry!SLIM IN 6!

This thread is a good reminder to us all to plan our eating in advance so we dont end up 'having' to eat off-plan.
